What a gem!! This hotel is close to everything. You step out the door to your left for restaurants and shopping and if you step out to the right you get to the historical area to see the Roman theatre, Alcazaba and the cathedral. Plaza de la Merced where you’re close to Picasso’s childhood home and his statue. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we left too early for our flight. What they did have was a nice sitting area to enjoy complimentary tea, chocolate croissants, biscuits and an assortment of candies in jars. Also a jug of nice cold juice in the lobby. Great little touches.

Excellent hotel in a good aea close to bars and restaurants. Our room was a junior suite which was very spacious. Large bathroom with all amenities you'd require. Staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely family-owned and run hotel in a very convenient location. Quiet, well-equipped rooms and very friendly staff. There's also a comfortable lounge with a help-yourself tea bar. Only niggle is attention to little things: a request for an iron was forgotten, a coffee order at breakfast had to be reminded, the bin in my room wasn't emptied for two days.. but very minor niggles staff were quick to correct and apologise profusely for. I highly recommend Hotel Palacete de Alamos - it's an oasis of serenity.
