Holiday Inn Express Malaga Airport, an IHG Hotel

No shuttle and just debris everywhere. They advertise as hotel near the airport but have no shuttle service. That should have been plastered on Expedia that there is no shuttle service to hotel and airport. We have to get a taxi. Taxis are like 20 bucks for a simple drive. And they may or may not fit all your bags and baby and baby stroller and etc.

Typical motorway Motel. Near airport for late night arrival before starting holiday. Reception staff very pleasant. Very comfortable bed. Fresh room. No aircon in winter months as you would expect. Noise from motorway. Surroundings just a very big carpark and industrial area beyond. The cost of a taxi for a 5 minute drive is a minimum of €20, expensive. Breakfast basic continental, fresh. Staff had issues with guests not waiting to be given a table, sadly everyone very impatient and not wanting to wait turn. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Guest need to teach their children manners! Not a relaxing atmosphere.

Reception people were good and kind. Location close to airport but can only be reached by car or taxi. The hotel airconditioning don’t work in February because they consider it as winter, but the rooms are too hot so we had to keep the windows open to breath. Because of it, the whole night was noisy with sound of vehicles on the road next to hotel and the planes because it is close to airport. We had a very disturbed night no one could sleep. Breakfast were just packed foods, cereals, Some croissants and packed juices. The caterers were shouting like they are in their home never minded about the guests. Plates and cups in the breakfast area are worn out and discoloured., when checked those were from ikea. Bathroom is small and only with a bath tub and some cheap toiletreis. Very hard to use especially with kids. Overall not a good experience. I stayed in other holiday inn hotels before but this one is not even close to their regular service.

Great 2 night stop over in Malaga with the family. The staff are just so helpful and easy going. Food served in abundance for breakfast with a Great variety available.

Comfortable stay for one night with family. Breakfast staff work hard and did good job under difficult circumstances; rush of people between 9-10am.

I never had such a bad experience, i m a gold member and the receptionist come to knock at my door of my room at 00.00 pm to ask me money for they could not use credit card of the reservation to pay the dinner. Then the pos was not working.. he said: ah no prob, i ll pay for you, as i was complaining for the time he did this az i m not a robber..of course he didn t do this and i had to wake up at 5 am for a flight and in the morning the new receptionist was as kidding me about what happen..total unproper way of behaving i d never have such a thing in my life

Far better than the soulless, functional travel hotels you get in the UK. This one had a real buzz when we visited (maybe as people were on holiday rather than travelling for work). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. And the food was great - a far more adverturous restaurant menu than you'd expect in a Holiday Inn with big portions, and open until midnight which is great if you're arriving with a hungry family from a late flight. The (free) buffet breakfast is also tasty and well-stocked.

Descent hotel with comfortable beds, including the additional sofa bed in family room. It's a difficult walk from the airport so advise getting a taxi, although this is expensive. There is no shuttle, which is a shame. Breakfast was great with a variety of foods on offer including Spanish favouritesnsuch as tortilla. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Almost a dirt track into the entrance of the parking lot. The door lock was broken. Took three trips to reception (up and down on elevator) before someone finally came up to help. He promised he would bring up some ice. He didn't. The beds were twin sized. We couldn't sleep together. The pillows were the most uncomfortable pillows I have ever experienced. Not their fault that a family down the hall came in with a screaming child at 1:00am, but their soundproofing leaves a lot to be desired, as I heard the kid screaming for a half hour. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

Friendly crew, clean hotel and very nice breakfast imcluded. We stayed with 2 kids, the rooms aren't very large but are great if you just need a place to sleep. To be honest I think they deserve an extra star seeing how neat everything was and how they treat their guests.
