Sejong Hotel

Sejong is a classy hotel with excellent location and great view of Seoul Namsan Tower. Myeongdong shopping street is just 3-5mins walk. Lots of dining options nearby. Great for family and those looking for hotel rooms with bigger space. Definitely one of the hotel options next time I’m in Seoul.

The hotel is very conveniently located in busy Myeong-dong shopping district. The room condition looks quite old and carpet flooring is not very clean. The front desk staff are friendly but seems to lack motivation. Overall, it is a good stay for my family as we booked a triple room sharing for 4 persons.

Located at the edge of Myeongdong. it is mere meters from Myeongdong Subway Station's exit 10. This property has seen its halcyon days but with maintenance and rejuvenation, it continues to flourish, albeit as a 3-star, post-covid (used to be 4-star). While we were spoilt for choice, we decided to try because of its good price point, convenient location, and comparatively sizable rooms. We were not disappointed. If you could overlook the sixties feel, then you will be rewarded with clean, well-maintained interiors, and adept service. Jacob and Pyun, just to name a couple of wonderful people at the front desk, exemplify the notion of polished, elegant, professional hospitality. While not adept in English, it's obvious they have years of experience. We had 2 rooms for 6 nights and every night, after imbibing in the hot tub, we slept like babies in clean, comfortable beds. The pillows, however, were too soft to offer any decent support. We compensated by requesting a few more which they were happy to oblige. One late evening, we had an electrical trip, and within 5 minutes, an electrician was dispatched and the problem was fixed without fuss. My wife and I would stay again but could not say the same for my 2 adult children whose preference are for more contemporary abodes.

Sejong's Hotel location is very convenient to many outlets. Myeongdong station exit 10 is the closest to the hotel but exit 7 has escalators as walking up and down stairs all the time can get a bit tiresome. 7Eleven along with bakeries are close by and Myeongdong Shopping District is also minutes walk. The hotel itself is good. Hotel lobby staff speak pretty good english. Hotel restaurant is on the same floor as the lobby. Laundry can be done on the 4th floor, very easy to use. We stayed in the Quadruple Room on the 8th floor. Plenty of room to easily host a family of 4, more importantly plenty of room to open luggage's without bumping into anything. Beds are comfortable, showers are ok but the internet wifi connection isn't the best. I couldn't even connect to my laptop and phone. Overall I had a good stay here in this hotel.

The Sejong is a solid, comfortable place to stay. We especially appreciated the double room with four twin beds, since there were four adult family members. It's an excellent location just steps from the #4 subway line and the airport luxury bus stop. It's showing its age just a bit, but all the amenities are there and it's a very clean, well-run property. Recommended.

Really old hotel but excellent location right above the train station and shopping area. Decent size family room but the bathroom was small.
