Phoenix seopjikoji

Room has a few signs of wear, but still cleanly maintained. Surrounding area is beautiful, and the package deal was excellent that included a meal and lounge access. I will definitely choose this resort again for my family.

It wasn't my first visit. It was good last time, but I'm satisfied again this time. I think it's the best for a family trip.

We really enjoyed the heated pool and spa. From my husband’s description, the condition of the women’s spa was cleaner and nicer. It was very convenient to have a CU in the building and small kitchenette in the room. Kids loved the activities provided and went to the kids club several times. Overall a great experience.

As always, it depends on your priority. For my family trip this time, we wanted some rest and rainy season was forecasted to start during our stay. Thus we wanted to stay within the area and this was this was the best pick (Seopjikoji is where you can see Sungsan Sunrise Peak all the time and Pheonix is a resort within which some trails and other activities can all be done). Our family loved the stay. The facility itself is not run as a hotel - you have housekeeping only once every 3 days; you can choose the room with cookware; and these mean the rooms can be less clean than what you could expect from a hotel. All in all, the beauty of the area beats the disadvantage of the location (far from many other tourist attractions) and the state of the rooms.

Generally a good resort, suitable for a family (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, cooking area). There’s a 24-hour convenience store on the ground level and a cafe that operates until 10pm ish. The only disappointing thing was that the coffee vouchers (given at the check-in) is only available from 5pm onwards which was quite odd. The fact that the resort is in the Subjicoji area, the scenery/view was satisfying.

Overall, great venue to spend time with family. Lots to see and do near the resort. I would definitely visit again. Some misses, but not a huge issue to the overall experience, were : 1. Not enough coat hangars inside the room 2. The monitor next to the bath tub did not work. The cook top was pretty worn. 3. Would be nice if they provided bath towels and a microwave 4. Pricey restaurants
