Upgraded rooms were noisy, for the swimming pool area has music on all day include the night performance. It would be good for family with children, but not for me. I needed a rest and nap at the hotel for few days. So they gave me a room tour and that made me more tired, for the hotel was huge. I told them that i need a quite room up front yet i had to go around 3 rooms. Well, the interior was pretty much antic.

Great property if you have young children. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The breakfast buffet was great but overpriced.

Hotel and grounds were beautiful. My kids loved the heated pool, hot tubs, and nightly concert. We tried the kids club on a rainy day and while it was an additional fee it was a big hit as well. Area is close to many of the attractions.

Great hotel and wonderful service. This is our third stay at Lotte Hotel Jeju; 2018, 2022, and 2023. Terrific breakfast buffet with a good selection of fruit, salad, Korean food, western breakfast. You do have to get your coffee yourself at the bar, they do not come around and fill up your cup. You have to get all other drinks yourself. The staff at the bar are prompt and professional. Swimming pool is a highlight for the hotel, large pool that is connected to a kids pool with a slide. They do not allow outside food, not sure about drinks. The main complaint of our stay is the room is a little warm, not a lot of A/C. It can be a little uncomfortable and there is no top sheet, just a comforter. Will try to pack top sheets in luggage going forward to sleep cooler. They were gracious with delivering a room fan. There is not a fan in the closet nor a ceiling fan. A lot to do nearby the hotel. We went to Hello Kitty museum and watched the surfing at the beach nearby. The Arte museum has digital displays of art on the walls. The island is filled with parks and tourist attractions worth checking out.

This was our first time to Jeju island and we were deciding between Lotte and Shilla, but lotte seemed more kid friendly with the fun pool and kids club. We got a deluxe suite which was very roomy for 4 people. Big closets and balcony. The second bathroom was very helpful. Climate control was good but it took a long time for the shower to get hot. The buffet restaurant is one of the best buffets I’ve ever had, on par with the top Las Vegas ones. Abalone, crab, lobster, steak, you name it! The grounds are beautiful and the heated pool was a lot of fun. They gave thoughtful touches like compressed air to fill up floaties and nets to put over your food to keep the birds and bugs away. Plenty of shade and seating. The on site kids club, gym/spa, casino and bowling offer a lot to do. There are restaurants and a few shops next door, and the teddy bear museum and beach are also short walks away. Cons: food is good but expensive. The staff does not speak English as well as Seoul hotels. The hotel room walls and fixtures looked dated with some scuffs and scrapes, but not a big deal. The elevators are old too but working fine. We did not visit during the high season but I can imagine this place could be pretty crowded and chaotic (a lot of young kids, etc) during peak times.

Most superb service by all staff. Made transport to Hallasan Hike easy which is not an easy feat. Beautifully located on the beach, but too many stairs for my elderly parents to walk down and up. There was active construction at the time of our visit. Overall, a great experience. Fun place for young families.

Only thing I would like to see is that there is an adult only zone or an adult only zone enforced at the outdoor pool. Not everyone want to be around children or splashed by children. While we were there we saw signs for an adult only zone but it was not being enforced.
