Vovtel

Based on the 4 star review we checked into this hotel thinking it was a boutique hotel. A little background about us. We are from the US and this was a mommy/daughter trip. We arrived late on a Thursday night. The halls are gloomy and upon entering the elevator I noticed a drop box for hotel keys (basically a self check out). Entering our first non-smoking room we noticed a strong scent of cigarettes. The front clerk was nice enough to move us to another room but the same thing. We realized that this was a "love motel"- basically people popping in to have rendezvous. If you have kids and family this is not the place to bring them. If you are single or have a significant ofher and don't mind this type of atmosphere then it's a good deal. We stayed one night and didn't make it to the second night.

The room is very spacious for the price, and despite the decor that's a little bit cheesy, everything​ was great. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was great. The bed was quite hard, but that's not a problem for us. There is AC, but you can't control it; the temperature is already set, so if you want the room to be cooler, you have to go to the front desk (limited english). Breakfast was not very good if you're looking for a fulfilling meal. They offer spam and eggs, toast, jam, soup, cereal, juice and coffee. I would recommend this hotel for couples or friends traveling together, but definitely not for families with children.
