ibis Lisboa José Malhoa

We stayed here for one night on our way through Lisbon as it was pretty close to the airport. Booked a room with two twin beds as no doubles were available. Normally a twin bed is fine but these were not regular beds with a mattress/boxspring. I have never seen a bed like this in a hotel. They use these very thin, flimsy mattress tops that moved all over & slid off the bed as you tried to sleep. Maybe suitable for a child but certainly not adults. My other complaint was the poor air conditioning. There was a control on the wall but it didn’t seem to change temperature at all. The room was uncomfortably warm all night. The front desk staff were attentive & helpful. The lobby space is clean & modern. I picked the hotel for price/ convenience & trusted the Ibis brand to offer a standard experience but this was very disappointing.
