H10 Duque de Loulé

The hotel is beautifully designed & staff were mostly very friendly/helpful, especially on arrival. However there were some important details lacking that would mean we wouldn’t stay again. Our room was very nice but there was a safety issue with the 4 separate, long dangling cords for the window blinds. We were travelling with a 3 year old and it’s actually illegal in the UK to have the cords hanging freely as they were here (no way of tying them back out of reach) as it’s a serious strangulation risk to young children. I think it generally doesn’t occur to them (or they just don’t care) that people might be travelling with young children and they are not catered for at all. Breakfast buffet was ok but extremely overpriced for a child who just wants cereal. Room service menu had zero options for a child, for breakfast or any other time of day. The same goes for the snacks menu in the hotel bars and there is definitely nothing for them in the main restaurant. Had our son been catered to, we would have been happy to spend a lot more on eating at the hotel for convenience but this meant we had to go elsewhere for every meal or bring our own food from the supermarket. The 2 times we did order room service for the adults, various items were missing. Also very bright spotlights on the outside of the building pointing directly in to the window kept us awake at night, even with blinds and curtains closed. Lovely place, just not practical or well thought out.

Anniversary celebration with friends and family. We had the BEST time. The hotel was perfect - excellent service from the moment we arrived. Awesome room, fantastic breakfast!! Thank you so much, we will be back!
