Pestana Palace Lisboa Hotel & National Monument - The Leading Hotels of the World

Some of the common rooms at the Palace are beautiful while some of the others have very faded and chipped furniture. It’s a shame. We paid almost $800.00 for a junior suite that was badly in need of repairs, replacement carpet (the carpet was badly stained) and new furniture. I was so looking forward to staying in this property it was a big disappointment. On the positive side the bellmen, restaurant staff and concierge were very helpful and friendly.

The Pestana Palace is an absolutely beautiful property. The interior lobby, dining and bar areas are well decorated to represent the period. The entry was stunning with fresh flowers and the grounds are lush and well maintained. The room was tasteful and the bed was comfortable. Since our entire family is tall, we appreciated the long tub to soak in after a day of sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and customer focused and remembered our name and room number. The breakfast was artfully presented as well as delicious. Especially appreciated the attentiveness when we arrived after a long flight (having not slept or eaten) and having the head bartender allow us to sit outside in an area that was not currently being serviced and enjoy a cheese tray with bread, olives and a glass of wine. Most importantly, we were impressed by the support received when we left our passports in our room safe after leaving the property. Although we had checked out and had departed Lisbon and were in a state of panic, we still felt like we were completely supported by the staff most notably Katarina and Fabio. They kept connected through multiple calls and emails to reassure us that they would assist us in getting our passports. It felt like they considered us family and we are eternally grateful. Would recommend this hotel highly! The Wilson family will be back to visit again!

We checked out of another property we were staying in Lisbon as they didn’t have internet and the lift wasn’t working for over 2-3 days. It was a different story at the Pestana Palace. We were upgraded to a suite and it was the perfect mix of a magnificent historical palace with modern amenities. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves very much. They had an indoor and outdoor pool. The service was immaculate and the staffs charming and kind. My family and I enjoyed ourselves immensely and it took away the bitter taste from the first place we stayed at. Thank you so much Pestana Palace for an unforgettable stay. The reception promised my son that he would feel like a king during our stay and he agreed that he felt like a king. Our one regret is not staying longer but we will definitely visit again.
