Riande Urban Hotel

The staff was great, they personify what customer service should be, they go way beyond especially Rolando and Carlos I consider them family that’s how great they were, also the restaurant staff were amazing especially Mr Pena

The property is very nice. The staff in the restaurant area are excellent and smiling (especially Mr. Pena). They always greet with courtesy and care about customer service, but the staff in the reception area at night after 6pm, made us angry for the indifference of which we were objects and made us feel as if they didn't care what we thought. Every year we come to this hotel for the service and they made us feel like family, but this year at the reception they were arrogant, I hope they correct that attitude since as I had mentioned the service and attention received is important to us and any other Guest.

I would give this property an excellent review, nonetheless there were a few issues that won’t allow me to do so 1. The do not offer a mini refrigerator in the room, neither would the allow you to have a little cooler to keep drinks cold. When inquiring they said there was ice that we could put in an ice bucket in the room; unacceptable 2. I was spending a week at the hotel with my mother, and wanted to see friends and family, the hotel did not allow my sister to come to the room to wait for us to get ready before heading out to the city because they said visitors were not allowed. First time I hear this if a hotel. 3. The last thing which was the most upsetting while checking out they would not give the ok to go until they check the room like if there was anything there worth to take Unacceptable

When my new Panamanian wife and I decided to not stay at our normal PTY hotel and give this one a chance, we realized really fast we made a big mistake when checking in. We arrived at the hotel around 7:00 P.M. to spend a special night in PTY after getting married the day before. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no staff outside the property to assist us with our luggage. Once going into the hotel to the front desk, there was only one male front desk person and he seemed not interested in greeting us. Once we arrived in room 706 after a long day of traveling, the room was terrible. The room was dirty, the carpet had stains on the carpet, their was dangerous black mold on the air conditioner, holes in both the shower ceiling and the walls next to the bedroom night light. The toilet was dirty and the shower door was both dirty and rusty. There was a very heavy mirror that was leaning up against the wall that was very dangerous if you had either a pet in the room or a small child. The free breakfast was terrible. They gave me two tiny pancakes, did not want to give enough syrup and what was supposed to be breakfast sausages turned out to be burnt hotdogs m. I have traveled all over the world in my life as a retired Army Officer, Department of Defense Employee and civilian and room 706 was the worst room I ever scene in my entire life I WANT EITHER MY MONEY BACK OR A FREE NIGHT IN A very BETTER ROOM the next time I’m in Panama City
