Clarion Hotel The Edge

We were pretty surprised the hotel charges were one of the highest end in the city, yet the hotel condition was run down, tired. Our room was fine, but shower was clocked which caused shower water to spread everywhere on the bathroom floor. We arrived very late with 2 kids and waited the room be ready, hence they arranged the two beds, but one at the time. Front desk service was very attentive but i feel they were understaffed and generally service wasn’t too happy nor energetic. For the price we paid , we don’t see the value.

Excellent stay! Would absolutely recommend and would stay there again. I got the family with 2 rollaways and there was still plenty of room for my excessive amount of luggage. The room was cleaned daily if I wanted which was great with 2 messy kids! Breakfast was fantastic! Food is just up the street, shopping is just up the street, the views are amazing! Staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful! My only two slight suggestions for the hotel would be to have a list of restaurants open for holidays for guests. And put a dresser in the room so that guests can unpack. Lastly the lamp where the rollaways go is too low, children think it is a toy.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Edge. The rooms and hotel were clean. The buffet breakfast was amazing with many options. The staff was very friendly. I will be back in the summertime and will absolutely stay here.

Our junior suite had an incredible view of the harbor and City of Tromso out of multiple windows. The room was very spacious. The bed was the most comfortable of any European hotel we have ever stayed at! The breakfast buffet was out of this world with options to satisfy any palate. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was an easy walk to all of the major sightseeing sites, shopping, restaurants, and local transpiration. We opted to hire a personal driver to take us shopping and to the Arctic Cathedral as the streets and sidewalks were very slippery given the snow and ice. It was very inexpensive by any standard compared to other international locations we have been to. The facility is a cashless hotel and only accepts credit cards as a form of payment which did present any challenge to us. It is a 10-minute drive to the airport. IT is an easy 4-minute walk to any of the Northern Lights Tour linkup locations. Great hotel and location!
