The Swimming pool temperature was very cold, kids could not swim. Solar heating for pool means max temp is 27deg cel, but water felt way colder. Wifi internet was very slow and un-usable. switched to mobile data and was much faster, i was told they have fibre but issue raised with provider. carpets looked dated and needs replacing.

The team were absolutely AMAZING - Outstanding service from the ladies at reception and the restaurant team. I most definitely will be returning. Ive reccommended Kingsgate to all my family and friends. Cheers team

We booked a room for my birthday and also our 20th wedding anniversary Room was very clean and tidy but outdated No USBC power connectors in rooms and also old TV's Bed were amazing - slept like a baby Breakfast was nothing special Lots of shops around Pizza Shack has an amazing breakfast Jimmy Jack's Rib Shack for Lunch or Dinner

Hubby and I have stayed previously and this time brought my daughters and grandkids… We all enjoyed our break from smoky Auckland 😂

Stay was smooth, fast check in, check out. Room was clean, tidy and good size. They have parking which is a plus given its on main street and street parking is full on weekends etc. Outdoor pool is basically a lap pool, 2 people can swim at once side by side. Best for kids but as it's sea facing, it can get breezy! Very nice stay overall. Would recommend the hotel.

We would consider this hotel the best located in all of Paihia. The rooms are modest and clean, perfect for a busy family trip in the bay of islands
