We booked a room for two adults and a ten year old. At check in, we were told the room had only one king bed and if we didn’t want to share, that’d be extra $60/night. They brought a roll out bed that barely fit in the room. To make it work, they moved a big chair against the desk and placed a side table by the entrance. It was ridiculous, felt like we were camping out. We’ve stayed at Hilton many times and there’s always a pull out if we book with a kid. Expecting that 2 adults and 1 pre teen will share a bed is insane.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Auckland. It is located in a great location as it is a short distance to walk to downtown and the Viaduct harbour. Also, from our balcony we have great view of the wharf. I enjoyed watchingthe sun rises every day. The interior of the hotel common area and our room are new, modern and cosy. All staff are very friendly and professional. However, the free Wifi was not working as it was either slow or kept dropping out. We did not use the outdoor pool because the water was cold to swim in. I would like the buffet breakfast selections to be more expansive. All in all we have a good experience and would recommend the Hilton Auckland to our extended family, friends and colleagues.

The hotel is centrally located near the waterfront. Walkable distance to the CBD & fine restaurants. Was disappointed with the hotel breakfast. I expect more from a five star hotel. It was so bad that we cancelled our dinner reservation from their restaurant. Good decision as we really enjoyed our dinner @ Jervois in Auckland. For the 7 days that we stayed there, I had breakfast once & didn’t go back for the rest of our stay. My husband still went as he has no other choice because we already paid for it. I appreciated the fact that they packed breakfast for us to take when we left early for a day tour but the pastries (3 little ones) were stale. Didn’t even offered us coffee to go, not even bottled water. Overall, our stay was good because of the service. All their staff are friendly & accommodating.

Brought family for a mini hoilday everybody enjoy the view of the boats and ship that came threw comfy bed breakfast buffet was excellent! Definitely gonna come again!
