check-in was fast, room was clean, bright and spacious, lots of windows, nice layout (for 4 ppl), lamp on each night tables (4), lots of desk space, coffee maker and bar fridge. the only thing missing is a microwave oven. 2 minute walk to metro, IKEA, and a family restauant. 20 minute metro/train ride to Centraal Station or Schipol airport.

Everything was good apart from breakfast . Breakfast is not worth the money we are family for four and kids don’t get free it’s expensive limited option and hot breakfast was cold. We even complain but looks like manager was not very impressed he said we are the first one to complain . We have been to many hotels and had breakfast as well so far this was the worst experience. Next day we decided to have breakfast in city centre and it was good decision. For room cleaning you have to constantly remind them and for extra coffee they only give very limited sachet . And when they clean room they don’t refill coffee. So far good and bad both .

The hotel is brilliant. Ample onsite parking. 2 minutes from the metro station, number 54 takes you into Amsterdam Central in 15-20 minutes. The hotel check-in and check-out process was all automated and so so easy. Although reception staff were available 24/7. The room was a good size and nicely done. We had the quad room which was just great for a family of four. Usually we’d find a sofa bed for the children but here there were 4 single beds, 2 next to each other in each section of the room, with 4 single quilts making it very convenient. Plenty of storage, in room safe, seating area, fridge and tea/coffee available. Air conditioning was good. Bathroom was lovely and well equipped. The only thing they need to give a bit of attention to is their house-keeping. It was generally ok and done regularly, you could see the dust in some areas and could tell for example the coffee/tea holder hadn’t been cleaned in a while, although being re-stocked everyday. The telephone looked grubby too. It’s a relatively new hotel so everything is nice and fresh, but slacking on these small cleaning areas would take it toll if left as is. Overall a pleasant experience and good comfortable stay.

We stayed in Hotel Levell for 4 nights in a family of 4. It is located just 2-3 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. A self check-in & check out counter provides convenient and quick service. The lobby looks modern. However the room cleanliness is fair. The corners and some edges of the floor carpets of our room are dusty. At least two electric sockets of our room are broken with exposed and/or loosened parts. One of the window is not openable as its handle is broken and the gap was stuffed with pieces of tissue papers. Wifi was unstable but can be reconnected in short while. Mr Tommy over the front desk has good attitude and was helpful. He tried to fix the out-of-order coffee machine of our room. Though it was not amendable which is a minor issue but he has offered other means to get some hot water. We asked him about dining places nearby the hotel and he has recommended a very decent restaurant. We all had a good meal the first night in Amsterdam with just very reasonable price. A big thank to Mr Tommy. He definitely knows what is good customer service and he has set a perfect role model for some of his colleagues who also work in the front desk. By the way the housekeeper of our room on this Thursday has done a good job by refilling what needs to be refilled and tidying our beddings so well. It’s understandable that it is easily forgettable with their tons of daily workload. Thank him/her for keeping our room very tidy.
