Citiez Hotel Amsterdam

In the heart of the family style suburb yet very quiet in our room. We stayed six nights and travelled by tram just nearby. All in all, a good location.

The place was really nice and clean. Staff was super friendly. HOWEVER it was very clear with our communication that we were just staying for the night due to flight cancellations we should have been warned about something. We got a room here because if the great reviews. I can't say that I would stay here again with my family. Just my husband sure but not with the children. First, when we went in the room it was dark. The light switch was half way down the wall and you had to insert your key card in order for the light to turn on. This would not have been so bad except there is a rather large step down into the room before the light switch that noone warned us about. I went to get the lights and fell down the step into the little fridge. Not what my back and ankle needed. Hurt me pretty bad :-( there is a security light at th bottom of the step, that also comes on once the key card was inserted. There was a "private" bathroom. Problem is the whole wall was glass that was see through. We have teenager children, that was not very appropriate for us.

We stay 3 nights at the hotel with our family. The rooms has good size and the staff is very customer oriented and helpful. They speak good english. The parking was very easy. The hotel is very close to many shops and it is also very close to public transportation. Furthermore there is very beatiful area close to the hotel with nice nature and sea. The hotel will also be good choice to young persons travelling with friends.
