The location of this hotel as well as the incredible helpfulness of the family that runs the establishment is incredible! It was great to walk down the steps and be right in a square with lots of restaurants and activities. It's about a mile walk to any outside excursions which was really nice. It is a true European experience though, if you're looking for lots of room or for top notch air conditioning then I wouldn't suggest this place. Expect to open the windows and feel the breeze and see the canals, we loved it but it was warm with the windows closed. The stairs are also a bit daunting but that's to be expected if you are staying at any historical building. The staff will take your bags to the room so you don't have to lug them up though. Overall we loved our experience here but if you're looking for a marriot this isn't it.

Really nice and quaint rooms overlooking the canal. The family managing the hotel were so nice and will ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Truly impressed with their service snd attention to detail. Close to lots of dining options. No elevator and very steep stairs but the hotel staff will help you with luggage and anything else. Ask for higher floors as there are restaurants at the street level where you may hear some noise during the night hours when they are open. Really enjoyed our stay there.

We received a warm welcome at Hotel Frank and every attention was given to make us welcome and comfortable. However, the steep stairs to our room were somewhat of an issue for one of our family members with a broken ankle (no lift). The room was clean and tastefully decorated- it had character. However, the greatest problem was the noise during the night. Our bedroom window was on the side and all the noise in the Rembrandt Plein around the corner could be heard throughout the night. Even with earplugs it was disturbing. However, this was obviously not any fault of the hotel. We should have checked the location a little more clearly before booking.

This is a 13 room inn run by a family who went out of their way to ensure we were able to find our way around and enjoy Amsterdam. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the property to friends.

Fantastic location and super friendly family-run business at a reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable, and the room temperature was also easily manageable. Nice big shower. Our room was cozy, and you do need to be thoughtful about how to store your bags and still get around in a small space, but we did not find this to be a negative thing at all. If space is a priority for you then spring for one of the larger rooms.

The hotel was in a very central location which made it conveinent for travel/walking. However the noise from the bars is unacceptable from Next door. There are 10 plus bars /restaurants that are partying from 10pm ro 5am. Have to keep windows closed and that takes some of the noise away. This hotel would not be good for families. Oh yeah Then the street cleaners come from 5am to 6am. Bathroom configeration for this room waa odd. Toilet in one corner, shower in another corner and sinks behind the bed. What is it with hotels not having adequate bath towels, hand towels and no face cloths in all of europe? Asked for a extra few pillows and received one. No extra in the hotel. I do have to say the staff in the hotel were helpfull. Even though they could not accomidate a few asks.
