Banks Mansion

I stayed here because of all of the great reviews. It was a splurge for me on my last night in Amsterdam, and honestly, I was so disappointed. During check-in, I felt like I was imposing on the staff’s time. I didn’t get told about the cheese/wine service in the family room which should be a highlight. My room was small, had very well used furniture and some nasty, large stains on the curtains. When I returned from dinner, I spoke with another staff member who promptly offered me a new room, which was lovely and included large windows that opened onto the canal. It is a great location and has sound-proof windows, but in my opinion, it is not worth the premium price of a luxury hotel.

What an amazing hotel in Amsterdam! The hotel is centrally located, the staff is super friendly, the hotel is clean, and the amenities provided are amazing. Another bonus is that it has a convenient tram point right outside, which makes getting to the hotel from Central Station Easy, as well as getting back to the airport upon departure. The hotel is all inclusive, so that’s a plus, they have a decent selection of liquor and beer to pick from. They also put out assorted wines and snacks daily around 4pm. Special thank you to Kaoutar and Shafani for making me feel like family during my stay and jamming to some Britany Spears with me, you guys are awesome! Additionally, Patrick, the daytime manager went above and beyond to help me during my stay, also making me feel welcome and comfortable! I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Amsterdam! 5/5!

Hotel was in a great location. Inclusion of breakfast and open bar and afternoon gatherings were a plus. We had booked the master suite and it was comfortable and clean, however the furniture and carpets are a bit outdated and it would benefit from an upgrade. The staff were friendly and helpful with exception of one which was very harsh toward our Dutch family who entered the hotel to meet us and pick us up to go out. Borderline rude. Staff are too casual and could benefit from a bit of professionalism.

Hotel location excellent, Staff friendly and very efficient creating a relaxing atmosphere.A real gem. Will be recommending to friends and family.

My stay was exceptional!! The staff was warm and welcoming! They were so helpful and polite. The hotel was clean! It was great to have hot beverages, drinks, snacks and a warm welcoming smile when you returned to the hotel from a day of tours and excursions. The staff taught me how to catch the tram. They took time me with as we were long time friends. They gave me a birthday card and snacks for my Birthday. I was traveling alone but they made me feel like family and like a was never alone! Thanks for an amazing stay in Amsterdam. There is no place else I would rather stay than at the Banks Mansion. I recommend this hotel if your staying in Amsterdam! Exceeded every expectation!! Thanks
