We stayed in this hotel for nine weeks and thought it was nice. It’s midsized, meaning not big and anonymous like the Hilton, yet not as small and intimate as some traditional family run hotels in Mexico. The hotel is a two and a half block walk to Montejo, which is a long walkable boulevard filled with restaurants and night spots, and perhaps a kilometer north of the Zocalo. So, it’s central but not in the middle of the crowds. Staff is friendly and prompt.

The hotel held a wedding the night we stayed there. The music was so loud, ut was as if the wedding was occurring in our room and our family could not sleep. When I complained that compensation was in order, the staff simply told me to write a bad review on Expedia and they refused to give me the hotel director's name. We had to crash the wedding to force the staff to do anything. The hotel SHOULD NOT advertise rooms on Expedia knowing very well that they are holding events that impede the very reason you booked the hotel in the first place - for peace and quiet. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM IN THIS HOTEL. The service is absolutely atrocious.

The hotel was always spotless. Our room was very spacious. Everyone was friendly and the location was great. Close to paseo montejo. The only thing me and my family didn’t care for was the food, but it was a minor issue since it’s close to many other restaurants. I would absolutely come back.

We stayed in one of the suites with our toddler. The size was good. There’s no sink or microwave, which feels odd given there’s a separate room with a table and chairs for eating. This made it very difficult for us to eat there and prepare milk bottles for our daughter. They also didn’t have very basic things like plates or cutlery we could use. They ran out of towels one day so we had to use pool towels. These seem like basic things for a hotel to have. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of grassy areas for kids to play. Lots of nice seating areas with tables too. However, the pool is FREEZING even on a 90 degree day! We couldn’t swim because it was so cold. We also saw a lot of bird feces on the grounds that no one cleaned up. We watched staff walk by the feces repeatedly and no one cleaned it up for hours. There also aren’t enough lounge chairs for guests- there are only five for the whole hotel at the pool! The “bar” is really lacking. It’s staffed by a waiter who is never at the bar and needs to be chased to get a drink. Drink selection is very poor. It’s a shame there isn’t a better bar. The restaurant is very depressing. We didn’t eat there because the reviews consistently say the food is bad. The staff at reception were wonderful. We want to acknowledge Fatima in particular.
