Na Balam Hotel

We always have a pleasant time at Na Balaam. great spot for families that are looking for a low key experience. Location is primo! The cat was a big hit with granddaughter

The hotel is situated with in walkable distance to Playa Norte and another plus is the access to the beach club there ( food is expensive but you are in the most beautiful beach in Mexico ) The Hotel is convenient and affordable but needs to work on a few things to get 4 to 5 stars like their rocking hard beds , the TV in the rooms are super old and only offer about 9 Chanel’s ( when you travel with kids you want to have more options specially at night ). The bathroom water pressure,,furniture in the rooms is old . This hotel has a lot of potential if they work on some of this things the Staff was Great and the cleanliness was amazing . I will always come back if are any improvements.

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of Na Balam's junior suites for a week. Everything worked out great except for the mosquitos. They were EVERYWHERE in our room. We ended up getting bitten all over by the end of the trip. I investigated the doors and windows of the suite and there were large spaces in-between the doors for mosquitos to get through. We talked with other people at the hotel and they had the same issues in their rooms. The hotel did provide some stuff to get rid of them, but we didn't want to be inhaling chemicals all night. The hotel needs to do a better job of insulating the rooms so nothing gets in. Besides that, the hotel was great. I recommend getting one of the beach side rooms as you can literally walk right out of the room and be steps from the beach. The hotel restaurant / bar is a little more expensive than downtown, but the food is good. Make sure you try some fajitas de arrachera at Bucaneros before you leave the island!

My family of four stayed in the two bedroom suite and from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The shuttle from the airport was easy, the reception was warm, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The location to the beach is very convenient and the breakfast was wonderful. The beds in the turquesa room were too firm, but that was the only complaint! The front desk was helpful with any questions we had.
