Matices Hotel de Barricas

Our favorite stay during our Mexico visit. This is a must stay for those who like history and eclectic adventures. The staff was exceptional and friendly. We participated in the Tequila tour and learned a lot about our favorite drink. The property is clean and quiet. We were able to walk the grounds freely and enjoy the ducks and ambiance. We felt safe and welcome. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the restaurants. Will recommend to friends and family who would like to visit Tequila, Jalisco!!!

The room itself is very unique. The location is def in the outskirts of tequila, I drove there so I felt ok but def would’ve been scared to take a taxi there after a night of tequila. Never got hot water in room X30. Phone in the room was not working and the wifi wasn’t working. T-Mobile Verizon and AT&T gets no service here so def was praying we didn’t need the phone. It’s a unique hotel restaurant was nice. The taxi they recommends kept saying they would call us back and never did. Uber doesn’t go out here either. It was a one time thing for me with family def staying in tequila itself
