When we checked in the staff did not inform us of the coupon available to receive a discount for breakfast at the hotel. When I realized there was a coupon available I went to the front desk to request information and the young lady at customer service desk had an attitude when I asked and didn't believe that I wasn't given any information when she checked her records she realized we were not given the coupons and made it seem that she was giving me a complimentary meal with our stay which in turn was not the case we received a hundred vessel discount I still needed to pay but made me feel very uncomfortable for asking for something that wasn't presented to us or given to us at check-in after that encounter I had family coming pick me up at the hotel and she or front desk was very rude to my family when they were picking me up and made them feel very uncomfortable I will not be returning to the Rosita hotel because of the way they made not only me feel but my extended family who lives in Puerto Vallarta

We recently stayed at Rosita hotel...great location. Staff is excellent. Very clean. We like the fact that it is a quiet hotel alot of people 50 and up...some younger families as well... everything was great. Some improvement in food department would be nice...the food is meh so so not the best. Ok for a quick breakfast but there are plenty of other better breakfast establishments around

I recommend this original Mexican styled Hotel. My family has stayed here for over 60 years. I believe you will agree.

The best value is the ocean-view rooms. The balcony sliding door opens wide creating a brighter & more expansive space. We thoroughly enjoyed the views at all times of the day. Our room was spotless, came furnished with a large mini-fridge, the AC was strong & the shower ran hot. Downsides to the unit we stayed in: one of the double beds creaked obnoxiously with every movement, the hotel offered only one key card, no hair dryer or iron & the shuttered-style door and bathroom window allowed mosquitoes & sounds to enter the unit. We found the best way to combat the mosquitoes was to keep the bathroom door shut at all times. Light sleepers will need earplugs. Rosita is located at the start of the Malecon, offering access to the boardwalk, a 5-minute walk to 5 de Diciembre & a 15-minute walk to Zona Romantica. Our voucher for the continental breakfast came with one fresh fruit, a sliced baguette with jam, a small glass of orange juice & coffee. We paid out of pocket for eggs and chilaquiles but were not impressed. We skipped the free breakfast for the rest of our stay. I recommend visiting restaurants and cafes in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood for a tastier meal. The happy hour drinks were a good value, two strong drinks for 99 pesos. The kids often monopolized the pool, so we spent more time at the beach. Instead of venturing to Zona Romantica for the beach clubs, we walked 5 minutes to Mango Beach Club, a relaxing but attentive beach lounge, on the Playa de Camarones.

The location is very good at the beginning of the Malecom. Rooms with balconies can be very misleading.. our balcony was 1 1/2 foot wide at most. There is a huge difference in rooms and Expedia seems to only allow for the worse ones. I had notified the hotel that my dad of 92 needed grab bars.. the room he was given had none at all and a very disorganized bathroom. Our shower area had no where to even put a bar of soap!.. It seems to me that a hotel that has been open for 70 years should at least have places to put soap and shampoo in a shower in EVERY room and a place to put clothes. My Dads original room had 2 queen beds and 10 hangers.. no drawers or cubby anywhere to put clothes. I cant imagine how awful it would of been for a family of 4! The breakfast procedure was one of the worse I have seen. With your room you get 3 slices of fruit, 1 tea/coffee, 1 glass of orange juice and some slices of crusty bread.. BUT if you want the small buffet you hand in the paper slip and get a deduction to go to the buffet ( M-F is very small and you have to have a band put on your arm! The wait staff excelled at ignoring you too.. Although I will make allowances for a very small staff. ( same problem everywhere?) But over an hour to get an omelet off the menu is ridiculous. I recommend going out for breakfast except Saturday and Sunday when there is a big buffet. ..The drinks were cold and 2 for 1 cocktails twice a day. he beach on both sides of the hotel can be used for ocean swimming

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. We had an ocean front room. Really nice. Have stayed here quite a few years and will be returning again in January. We run into many of the same people each year. It’s like family. We love it at the Rosita.
