Villa Mexicana Creel Mountain Lodge

The cabins are just amazing, we went in a group of families, the kids was so happy they love the wood cabins, and dads also love them, this hotel is very recommended if you want to feel you comfortable, safe and in a good place!! All of us for sure will recommend this place, we love and enjoy our stay on Villa Mexicana Creel.

I’ve stayed here a handful of times over my years exploring Copper Canyon. The cabins are authentic, quaint, generally fairly clean, with hot water and good linens. They have mini-split systems for heating and cooling, however there is little to no insulation as there are spaces within the wall planks where air comes through, especially when it’s cold. The bathrooms are not heated, so it gets pretty cold in the winter. The breakfasts are good but relatively expensive. (Try Tio Molcas in town instead.) I’ll stay here again. It’s a fun experience, especially with a family because it is away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street, although it is a very short drive or nice walk (during the day) to shops and restaurants.
