Hotel Mision Catavina

The outdoor grounds of this hotel are beautiful. However, the pool was very cloudy and full of insects and vegetation. I understand that this is not a top tier accommodation but it didn't seem swimmable for our kids. The service was poor. Nobody greeted us at the entrance. The reception employees were sitting around chatting and seemed to be inconvenienced by our arrival. The waiter/bartender in the cantina was also poorly trained. He was flustered by having to serve two tables, messed up our order, then behaved rudely to us for the remainder of the meal. The room was fine. Clean and relatively comfortable. There isn't much competition for accommodation in the area so maybe they just don't care to improve their client experience. Also, be aware that there is NO GAS in Catavina. Fill up before arriving!
