Hyatt Place Los Cabos

Originally booked two nights at the Hyatt Place because our "real resort" wasn't available for the full duration of our stay. After the first night, we canceled our reservation at the resort and extended our stay at the Hyatt. Loved the proximity to the public playground next door for the kids and the large grocery store (La Comer/La Mega). I travel to Cabo a couple times per year and this will be our "real hotel" from now on.

A decent hotel, moderately priced if you aren’t into all inclusive style of lodging. It’s in a perfectly situated location, safe, walkable, easy access to restaurants, convenience stores, groceries and the beach. It’s also only a few mins from Palmilla Beach, a quick 30min drive to Cabo San Lucas, 10mins ride to downtown San Jose Del Cabo main square & less than 20mins to the airport. Breakfast option is basic but it’s a great way to get started in the day, pool is decent and the room size is spacious enough for our family of 4. Clean but still found a few missed spots and had mosquitoes in our room. Staff is friendly aside from the first front desk person who assured us we could upgrade but later told us we couldn’t. Also, we were waiting to check in for a couple of hours which was fine but I saw they were checking in other folks who came after us. I wasn’t even approached even if we were right in front of them with two littles in tow. I expected a little bit more better service given that it’s a Hyatt. Nonetheless, our stay was overall, okay.

Great place to stay for families. Great breakfast, friendly staff and walkable distance to the beach across the street. Pool area was also great.

The hotel has everything one might need during a vacation: spa, swimming pool, room service, and breakfast (included in cost). Breakfast is a buffet style; it is huge and includes even salad options; so, it is more like breakfast/lunch. Bar/restaurant has a happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. The location is great. 5 minutes walk to the beach, although the beach is not really suitable for swimming, more like for surfing. 5 minutes walk to a park with a playground for kids, and next to it, you will find a mall with a supermarket. Check the bakery inside of it, everything is as fresh as it possibly can be.
