This hotel and staff combine classic style with modern efficiency. The Spa is a great addition, I utilised it regularly and found the relaxation and excellent treatments most helpful to me as a restorative. As a single traveler I was made to feel comfortable and welcomed. A family atmosphere Thank you

Have stayed before & will return. Feels classy due to decor, furnishings, staff service excellent, nothing too much trouble. Food high quality & presentation 5 star. Comfortable, large bed, quality bedding & furnishings. Standard of Cleanliness very high. Few children though we stayed outside of school holidays. Convenient, short walk to Valetta shops, restaurants, bars, harbour, public transport & taxis.

Overall we had a lovely stay. Opportunities for improvement are as follows; 1. Breakfast starts at 7am. However, we went down one morning at 7am and the full breakfast service was not ready. 2. We purchased our drinking water outside the hotel as did many other guests. 5 star hotel does not have to have 5 star prices for water. 3. It is a small swimming pool for a large hotel with a no diving jumping sign. This was ignored by children and unsupervised by hotel staff. These are minor points and we would recommend and stay there again

The Phoenicia is an "old style" grand and spacious hotel with extensive gardens and an impressive swimming pool and bar location at some distance from the hotel through the gardens. The hotel is five minutes walk from the centre of Valletta with all its historical interests. Restaurants and cafes abound and the Maltese people are invariably friendly and helpful to visitors. The bus terminal being within 200 yards is very convenient, the busses are good, frequent and very reasonable priced. One can get to anywhere on the Island from this terminal at a cost of 1 euro 30 cents for a one day ticket. A 7 day ticket is even better value. It is not designed to be a family hotel and children would be out of place.
