DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside

Spent two nights here on a staycation, a couple with a toddler. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. The room was comfy and spacious with a little balcony that had a beautiful view of the Putrajaya skyline (lights at night were gorgeous). There are three pools to choose from which was great to avoid the crowds at the splash pool which is obviously popular with kids. The food was delicious - we had breakfast included and had dinner one night at Makan Kitchen. The breakfast buffet was one of our favourites of any hotel we've stayed at. I loved the option of eggs benedict from the egg station and how nasi lemak was served (option of 'bungkus' or loose rice with condiments and option of rendang or fried chicken). The only areas we would have liked improved were more to do with the timing of our stay. We checked in Sunday of a long weekend which was chaotic to say the least. Check in took more than half an hour and I felt bad for the front desk staff who repeated the same question and script to me twice because she was clearly having to deal with so many people. It also meant we queued 15 minutes to get into breakfast the next morning which was not ideal. All that size we had a good time and wouldn't mind going back again. Service was very good and loved the facilities available for kids (though so now the kids room is only for those 4 years and above).

I didn’t like the layout of the room especially the toilet. Toilet was squeezy especially for a family room. The lights in front of the wardrobe was not working and the doors of the wardrobe was hitting something at the ceiling as I opened the door. Hair dryer was not working at optimal level. Apart from that, the buffet food was okay, not the best like the other Double Tree hotels.

Public transportation when traveling with kids is easier. but it does not exist in the entire town. Apart from that all good. The food is nice and great. Staff is very friendly. Only the baggage could come earlier during check in. And it would be nice to be shown the way to room at first time, since it is very confusing layout. Coming again.

Excellent stay with my parents. We stayed in a family room which had more than enough space. The property is beautiful and makes for a great staycation or retreat. Our room initially had leaking water from the ceiling, but upon contacting the reception, we were moved to an equivalent room next door and offered a free breakfast. Wonderful service and we hope to visit again soon.

It's a nice resort place between the airport and the city. Good fun to stroll around the lake. Else, there isn't much to do. Plenty of kids around, who enjoy playing in the Water Splashes :D

One of the best place for family to spend some good time. 4 difference pools make the parents life a lot easy. It would be the best if the hotel have the kids play room more affordable and with some quality equipment. Kids club needs to open every day not only in the weekends. Found a huge dead cockroach in the changing room.

The standard rooms are small and tight, if you don't mind the small space, it's good but being claustrophobic I didn't like it and didn't get a good sleep at all in my first night. Luckily the manager on duty Hadi was very helpful, moved us to a corner room and I had more space and rest time after a long flight. Staff service in general is very good. My room attendant was very efficient and helpful too. The spa and rooftop pool is still under renovations. There's a sauna and steam room in the ladies change room next to the gym. Breakfast buffet in Makan Kitchen is great. Local and western cuisine for everyone's tastebud. Kids swimming pool is fantastic. My children loved it. Adults can relax in the infinity pool overlooking the lake. Will definitely visit again!
