THE TOURIST HOTEL & Cafe AKIHABARA

We stayed as a family of 5 in 2 connecting rooms. To have this was great and gave us space and privacy that we loved. The rooms were very clean. We only stayed 2 nights for the last leg of our trip and we were very comfortable. We used the laundry facilities and got the free coffee in the mornings. The sitting area and cafe area were nice to relax in or eat takeout. Loved having the amenities bar with toothbrushes, hairbrushes, hair ties, and wash rags. The staff was helpful and had umbrellas to lend in case of a rainy day. They stored our luggage that arrived the night before we got there. Lots of places to eat in the area. The hotel is not in the heart of Akihabara but about 7-10 minutes walk from all the anime stores and train station, and a Family Mart convenience store right outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially the connecting rooms for families because I could not find this in any other hotel during my search.

We stayed in two rooms with our family of five adults. The rooms we stayed in were quite small, and the beds on raised platforms were difficult to get in and out of. There was a lack of seating in the rooms too, as the beds were not situated in a way that allowed one to easily sit on them. The location was good but a little further away from attractions in Akihabara than what we expected but not terribly far, probably about a 10-minute walk to the main shopping district. The cafe offers only coffee and lattes and a few pastries, so we had to go elsewhere to find breakfast. Overall, it worked for us and was affordable, but it's pretty basic in terms of amenities and creature comforts.

Very clean, modern rooms, quiet area, and not from JR Yamanote and Chuo lines to hit all major tourist spots. Excellent, friendly staff! My family of 5 had a wonderful stay.

Family of 5 - easy to get joining rooms. Rooms were small and snug but that’s what I expected for this area. 10 minute walk to stations. Family Mart out the door and Life Supermarket a couple of blocks away. Didn’t try breakfast as kids fussy.

Superior staff!! Many understood/spoke English. The rooms were typical in size for Tokyo, cute coffee shop. The location was awesome! Close to many convenience stores, Family Mart steps away for luggage service. Train stations so close by! Umeyoko shopping district easy walk (with two toddlers in tow!). I would absolutely stay here again.

The staff were very helpful to myself and my family. A great experience overall.

Plenty of room for a family of four.

The hotel is not too far away from Akihabara station. It is easy to get around. The hotel is new and spacious for our family, 5 people, to stay. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious. The staff is helpful and kind.

Few mins walk from Akihabara station and it located at quiet neighbourhood. All amenities can be found around the hotel including artisan stores. Laundry room and free coffee every day. The coffee is genuinely nice, not some cheap 3in1 coffee Whole development is nicely designed with very cozy ambiance. Luggage forwarding can be done from family mart across the street.

Friendly staff and clean. Check in and out process was extremely easy via self check out. Love the location it’s 2 blocks away from akihabara station. If you’re into anime, video games and toys definitely stay here! Very convenient family mart next to hotel and a bigger grocery store down the street too
