Palace Japan Hotel

The web says 5min walk from minami-senju station, but it would probably take 10min, or 15min if you are having your luggage with you. Its pretty near asakusa area, I walked to senso-ji from the hotel when I was there. The room was really small, just enough for a single person. Couple or family sharing one room might find it too cramped. I didn't had any walking space once I placed my luggage flat on the floor and the door would sometimes bump into my luggage when I am going in and out of the room. But for the price paid, the room and facilities were pretty good. There is hot and cold water and a microwave on the 1st floor. The bathrooms were really clean. Some miscommunication occurred between Expedia and the hotel. I was told by the hotel staff that Expedia didn't inform them about my request for the ladies floor, so I ended up staying on the 7th floor which was kinda inconvenient as the toilet on the 7th floor was for male, so I had to use the toilet on the 8th floor. Not sure if the showers on the 7th are only for male as well or its mixed, but I went up to 8th floor for shower and toilet and everything else throughout my stay. And I was staying in the room beside the smoking area(the stairs area), the smell keep coming into my room whenever someone is smoking out there. Apart from the two points mentioned above, everything was quite pleasant. The staff I met was able to speak fluent English and even offered me a map of the area. (: Overall a pleasant stay~
