hotel MONday Premium Ueno Okachimachi

It is friendly for family, price is high and service isn’t impressive.

Hotels.com displayed a 3 bedroom room with sofa bed. We had 2 adults and two children. I choose this room and put two adults. When I got to the hotel they said they switched the room for only two people

This is a great property! The family room is extremely spacious, something that you don’t find in Tokyo.

This hotel was awesome, was traveling to Japan for the first time with my family. The staff was friendly and sweet. The hotel is extremely close to Tram lines and lots of food spots to eat. There’s even a 7/11 right across the street. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the area.

It is a clean and safe place to stay. A pretty new building. The breakfast is good, including many options for traditional Japanese breakfast and typical American breakfast. However, the staff at the breakfast dining area are very rude. The breakfast ends at 10 am and check-out is also at 10 am. In my last day at the hotel, after breakfast I went downstairs to check out around 9:50am. At that time, my child just finished his breakfast and was taking an online class quietly at the dining area. Since there were no other guests, I decided to let my child stay at the dining area to continue his online class, which would end at 10:10 am. After I finished checkout around 10:05 am and went to the dining area to pick up my child, he was already kicked out of the dining area by the staff, and the staff were still collecting dishes and bowls. My child was taking an online class quietly and did not bother anybody else. How can the hotel treat a child in this way?

Great location for local sights and food, not far to train/subway station for links to other parts of the city. Room was in good condition, it was a twin with an added bed for child making it a little small for suitcases and moving about but otherwise fine.

The hotel is clean, the staff super friendly and helpful. English speaking establishment. The hotel is very close walking distance from ueno park the train stations,great for families on a budget

All is good but room is too small, even no space to open the luggage. Not suitable if traveling with children.

I’d be honest- I was a little skeptical when booking this hotel because there were limited reviews and the photo weren’t really helpful…but I am so glad I took a chance because this hotel was fantastic! We’re a family of 4 and booked the large room with 4 beds; among everything else, the staff made this stay exceptional. Will definitely stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Location was great (10 minute walk to Ueno Station), tons of food options, public transportation is 2 minutes away (Okachimachi Stn). Thank you again.

My family and I stayed here because we wanted to be in the Ueno neighborhood. We loved how close in proximity it was to a lot of attractions. The room was sufficient for the 3 of us and the water pressure in the shower room was amazing! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well with the beautiful city views.
