Candeo Hotels Tokyo Shimbashi

Property and service are excellent. Travelled with family (14 and 11 yo kids) corner room was cramped for us no closets for our luggages. Luxurious amenities, spa, toiletries including linens and pillows. Would not recommend as family home base when in the area. Surrounded by bars but pretty much safe. Shimbashi station about 10 minute walk

My 12 yr got sick and he just wanted some fruits as he couldn’t make it to the breakfast area. Since I’ve already prepaid for breakfast, I walked in and grabbed a few pieces of fruits for my son and I got stopped half way and was told that I can’t bring any food out. Granted it’s the hotel policy but what’s a few pieces of fruits plus I’ve already prepaid for the entire breakfast? So I ended up going outside to get him breakfast but no restaurants has ‘to go’ option. I looked around for about 30-40 min then finally found 1 but you have to order thru a machine which has only Japanese. I can’t read Japanese. Finally got some help and ordered some miso soup for the sick boy but it was hell just to get take out food around the area. Had the hotel be more lenient on the breakfast policy, it won’t be such a hassle especially when you’re on vacation. I’d won’t recommend this place or area if you travel with kids.

Staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Room was a twin with added bed for child however there wasn't a 3rd bed it was a window seat chaise lounge type thing which wasn't made up (maybe they thought we'd share one of the singles) The room was smell with only room to open 1 suitcase on the stand and 1 on the floor leaving no room to move around the room. Area very good for sights and transport to anywhere in the city and the airport.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The spa was fantastic! The PJs were very comfy even for little kids :-). The hotel provided great amenities. We highly recommend it.

This hotel is very near the Shimbashi Station Karasumori Exit so it is very convenient. But it is smack at the center of the business district so it gets packed & noisy in the evenings especially towards dinnertime with lots of drunk salarymen. There are tons of cheap dining options or you can just go to the Shimbashi station. The hotel is clean with good amenities. The public bath is well-maintained. We stayed for 2 nights, a family of 3 with a teenager. We got the 3-person room and it was okay for space even with our 2 luggages. However, never book this hotel directly. Their rooms are exorbitantly priced (over 500 CAD) if you do. Just book through Expedia for better rates.

Great location, very clean and less than 5 minutes from useful station. Hotel was clean and modern, breakfast was perfect for family of four with two young kids.

Price paid was higher than what was quoted. Facility did not have infant crib as expected. Air conditioner quit working in the middle of one of the hottest night in Tokyo so far this year.
