Ace Hotel Kyoto

We've stayed at a couple different Ace Hotels and this is by far the best one! The staff is very helpful and friendly. As everyone is around Japan! our family had a great stay

I was traveling alone after being with family for 10 days. I have stayed at the Ace in other locations and really enjoy the cultural pov the Ace has in the different locales. Staff was super helpful in arranging a car service for me to Kanazawa. I only wish they offered onsen/massage services, if not at the hotel, but nearby.

Amazing comfortable clean hotel for family of four with two little kids. Beds are the biggest we’ve seen so far in Japan. Comfortable sleep. Close to train station and shopping.

Stayed with kids 9 & 5. Close to everything, great coffees and restaurants in the hotel. Amazing staff, would definitely stay here again if we go back to Kyoto.

The restaurant has the wow factor- chic yet friendly for f as families. Staff is 5-star calibre.

The Ace Hotel has a stylish and contemporary design, comfortable rooms, and trendy amenities. There is hip and vibrant atmosphere, sometimes inconvenient for hotel guest since you have limited areas to hang out in the lobby since many people come to work from outside the hotel and take pictures for their instagram accounts with a cup of coffee. I ended up staying longer since my family and friends did not like Osaka and we returned to the city for extra days. The only observation besides limited room in the lobby for hotel guests is at Mr Maurice restaurant where we (group of 7 with small children) where seated outside because did not have a reservation for lunch . The temperature outside is like being in a sauna therefore staff should place close attention to this detail. We where beyond uncomfortable where I had to ask for an umbrella. In top of that one of the waitresses came to us and asked to remove a bottle of yogurt from the table seeing we where with a small child. Her approach should have been different. Instead of “you need remove that from the table !!!!” Something more guest friendly could have worked. Hotel guests should have priority. Thanks
