TOKYU STAY Hida-Takayama Musubi no Yu

Booked this high rating hotel just next to Takayama Station and I love the onsen, a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Hotel is also a short walk going to Old Town and nearby restaurant, temple, family mart, etc. The spread of morning breakfast is super good too!

Had an amazing stay at Tokyu Stay- our family stayed in two different Premier Residential Rooms on Level 9, and a Comfort Room on level 8, across 5 days in all. The Premier Stay rooms were unique and beautifully designed and furnished- with amazing views, balconies and gorgeous bathrooms- we loved them. The comfort room was great, but definitely not of same character/comfort- with shower over bath, smaller and no balcony. Still good though. We thought the breakfast buffet was really great and enjoyed the private onsen. The location was fantastic, next to the train and bus terminal, and you couldn’t hear any noise with balcony doors closed. The views from our room were wonderful, and we were lucky to have been there during winter when a significant amount of snow fell. The staff were all lovely and helpful. We loved our stay at Takayama, and the Tokyu Stay was a large reason for that.
