Peaceful and family friendly

Great hotel. Stayed here for 4 days with young adult/teenage kids and elderly mother. Rooms were clean and cleaned every day ( you have to ask them though). Location is perfect with a flawless beach on your doorstep. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only bad thing I would give is that the food can take a bit long to be served although when it does come its good and freshly cooked. I would 100% stay at this hotel again. Great for couples/ family or just a solitary getway.

We just returned from our 5th year vacationing at Sunset. I can't say enough about how great the staff at Sunset have been throughout the years, especially traveling with young children. The accomodations are very clean and comfortable with onsite staff to address any concerns or needs. Sunset has a kitchen conveniently open for all meals as well as a bar. All of our dishes were tasty catering to Jamaican as well as a variety of other dishes. The pool is clean and well-maintained with the beach just steps away. That's great for our group with all of their different water preferences :). If you want to venture off-site, Sunset is in close proximity to local restaurants, bars and shopping. Ms. Janet caters to all guest, whether local or from abroad, regardless of age, color or race. I was very surprised reading one of the reviews, as I mentioned, my friend and I, as well as our young children vacation at Sunset every year, I am black and she is white, we have never experienced any bias or prejudice. Sunset has also welcomed our visiting local Jamaican friends as if they were also paying guests. If you are looking for a stay in Treasure Beach, you can't miss with Sunset Resort & Villas!

Spectacular resort and location! We felt very safe and much welcomed here. I actually felt more unsafe coming back to the US with the violence lately 😬 We ate at Sunset and around town, never had a bad meal anywhere (Mobay included). Tried a mixture of local and American food - everything was so fresh and yummy 😋 Traveled around the area and did a few tours and excursions, all were amazing. Swimming in the ocean was a little rough at times, but we did fine with common sense and listening to the locals. Sunset has a well maintained pool to use as well. All the staff are very friendly, they treated us like family. Owner is super chill and welcoming. A lot of Jamaican vibes from everyone 😀 Will be back to this resort and the south coast for sure! If you want a more relaxing experience and not the America town of that other big resort in the south coast, this is resort and location is definitely the place for you!
