The hotel is nice. Like everything in Venice, it is old, but it is well taken care of. Our room was enough size for two adults and two children and the bathroom was large and seemed fairly new. The location is excellent for walking around Venice, and is a short walk from the train station. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Casanova apartment that is located in a different building next to the hotel. It looks recently remodeled and it had 2 separate rooms and a large bathroom. It was very clean. It was perfect for our family of four with 2 adolescents. It would be great for a longer stay. It also has a small kitchenette. Friendly staff, walkable distance from Sta. Lucia train station. I would repeat.

My family booked this hotel for 1 night. It's surprisingly modern inside. Much better than I had expected for an ancient city. Pro: good price, quiet, clean, very comfortable mattress, powerful air conditioning, good lights! Con: (1) I killed about 20 mosquitoes. I don't blame the hotel for it. Good news is the mosquito bites I got were very mild. If set lower temperature, they might be less active. (2) a bit far from train station, but if you are physically ok, it's not a problem to pull luggage over to the hotel. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, room was good size. Only thing I didn’t like were the beds. We had a family room, on the website it said had proper beds but they were sofa beds. Hotel was packed so couldn’t get another room. And had to pay more if we took two different rooms. Was a bit of a hike to the central part, but the water taxi was close. Wouldn’t walk to the hotel at night alone as you had to cross a few alleys which were dark. Breakfast was average
