Hotel Papadopoli Venezia MGallery by Sofitel

This hotel is a gem. It's within walking distance to the train station and taxi stands, so it's possible to carry your own luggage without paying for a porter. We were a family of 4 so we got adjoining rooms which was very convenient. Rooms-Very spacious with comfortable beds and pillows, nicely decorated and all the modern conveniences. The bathroom was also spacious for a Venetian hotel. More importantly it was very clean. We had a late flight out of Venice and they kept our bags for us after checkout without any issues. Dining-We had breakfast every morning which was 26 euro for a full breakfast and 15 euro for continental. The full breakfast was worth it. We we went out to restaurants for all other meals. Location- as mentioned the hotel is located on a canal and close to the train station so there is quite a walk to the grand canal and St. Marks square, however, the walk is very scenic and a wide variety of shops, restaurants and gelato locations. We found out about the boat ferry service on the last day which could be an option to quickly get to the "center" of Venice if needed as the boat pier is very near to the hotel. Staff- very accommodating and professional. One of our family members had an accident and fell on the floor and the staff handled it well and offered medical assistance. The restaurant and bar staff were also very efficient and always there to lend a hand. The next time we return to Venice we will be staying here.
