Hilton Garden Inn Venice Mestre San Giuliano

Our group of 4 stay.2 nights at Hilton on May 23-25 2024 . This is the best location if you travel to Venice . There is a bus station just right out at the hotel and take 15 mins to Venice and 15 mins to Marco Polo airport . The front desk staff was a bit mean when we check in , 2 families check in at the same time but not the same. Couter , my room is ready but the other room is not ready yet and the front desk spoke Italian and try not to give the room to me because there room is not ready yet , I told her I understand what she said and she was embarrassed and give the key to me . So this is the only thing I don’t like . The rest is excellent.

This is an excellent place to stay. Accommodation was great, ALL staff were great, Restaurant was excellent value. We opted for breakfast pre purchase, superb selection and very good value buffet style. This is the first time in a long time that we have witnessed food wastage on a huge scale with people especially kids choosing items from the buffet and then not eating them. Adults! teach your kids some rules! I have seen signs put up in other hotels saying, just take what you will eat, but maybe that would seem a rude instruction to the guests from Hilton hotel chain? Venice was full of really rude, impatient, entitled tourists, but the hotel staff were amazing and gave good advice and even apologised for others outwith their control, which was entirely not necessary. We purchased 7 day travel tickets at the airport and the #5 bus stops twenty feet from the hotel entrance. same #5 or #19 stops outside to take you into Piazale Roma where you can use your travel pass for the vaporettos. travel is simple, quick and even during carnival totally manageable. we always used a taxi from Piazale Roma to return to hotel, make sure you don't pay the fixed rate 23 euros, if you tell the taxi driver you want a metered trip it is only between 15 and16 euros depending on how busy the traffic is after a long day it is worth it to be dropped off at the door! There is an indoor spa pool but it is not open to under 16's so not for those with kids in tow.

Close to Venice. Confortable for family's travel
