Albergo Etruria

The Moretti family that runs this hotel was very exceptional. They are friendly, attentive, and hospitable. They helped us navigate parking and even met us down the street to help bring our luggage in and to our room as well as describe exactly where to park. They showed us several places to eat and go to for exceptional views. The hotel is located right in the heart of town and very convenient. Room was very clean and neat and well kept as well as a lot of thought was put into decorations all throughout the property. Free breakfast was excellent, one of the highlights. Will definitely be coming back! Try to book this directly with them if you can. We loved our stay and wish we stayed longer in Volterra.

The Moretti family welcomed us as if we were guests in their home. We loved the garden cafe, the views were lovely and the servers were very sweet. Definitely visit the artisans around town, they like to talk about their craft. This stop was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Italy.

My partner and I spent one night in Volterra and we could not believe our luck when we walked in to the Albergo Etruria. We were made to feel immediately welcome and a family feeling permeated our whole time there. The hotel is imaginatively and beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable, situated in a wonderful location and there is an attention to detail which is very rare nowadays. A beautiful feeling of tranquility exists throughout the hotel. Our room, 26 'Il balconcino', was particularly tastefully decorated, and we had the feeling that the Albergo and its guests are truly loved by the family taking care of it. We also very much enjoyed the breakfast we had before leaving and the home made cuisine, whether cakes or fruit preserves are delicious. The garden at roof top level provides superb views and has a great bar available too. We could continue talking about how wonderful this place is but I believe that you have to go there yourself and experience it. It is a little gem!
