Very cool hotel, a lot of college kids and working folks, with work spaces . Great views from the roof top bar and pool . Great coffee shop, walking distance to everywhere. Great breakfast ! Perfect for us , a not very young couple !

Online the hotel looked very modern and clean. We chose this location because of that, and the location being walkable to many places on our list to see. It hit most of the needs for us but the description lacks some important notes. 1. The hotel is very geared towards students. They are everywhere which is fine, but they congregate in most spaces and tend to have not taken care of the property. 2. There is a lot of wear on the property. In the rooms, there is a smell of sweat or feet. The bathrooms had mold in the corners, and there was no shower door in our room. The panel of glass does not extend to be able to keep the floor from getting completely wet when showering. The beds were ROCK hard. We came with family and had 4 rooms, they were all the same way. 3.The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were several food and drink options available. The cafe in the front was decent for breakfast, or smoothies as well. If you have an early tour though, the timing is right to get something before the start, as they open at 8. 4.The rooftop bar gives wonderful views but be aware that this is not a full bar, and their drink options are mostly limited to the trendy drinks on their menu. As Americans we tend to like sweeter drinks, and this was very limited, as they do not carry any type of juice. But the bartenders were helpful in trying to accommodate us so we adapted. The price of the hotel along with location was definitely a positive.

Nice hotel, good location, very modern and spacious, the staff were exceptional, so lovely and friendly- only real complaint is, US college kids are based there and they had a tendency to act as if they owned the place. (Especially the pool area)

The Social Hub hotel is an amazing hotel; conveniently located in Florence central & within walking distance to everything in the historical district & even parts south of the River Arno. The rooftop pool & bar offer breath taking views & awesome atmosphere. The unique features of ping pong table, swings, baby grand piano were fun & entertaining. The hot breakfast buffet offered everything you could hope for. In room coffee & tea were a nice plus. Definitely return again.

TSH stand for The STUDENT Hotel. The hotel was ran by kids that seemed to not care and the guest were loud drunk kids. The hotel doesnt accept cash? Which was insane and a huge inconvenience. The room and specifically shower was not clean. The room's windows were paper thin and every car and yelling drunk kid could be heard all night. This hotel mislead us to believe it was a legit hotel and not some mess. Worst place we stayed during a two week trip.

I didn't like that on the night we arrived (after traveling all day and feeling really tired & hungry) that the person on reception asked us to pay over £1k for our stay, despite us having already paid Expedia the full amount for our trip. This didn't start us off on the best foot, as we had a panic and had to start checking accounts to prove the payment was made. It came down to an issue between Expedia and the hotel, but we were initially made to feel like it was our problem! Other than that the hotel was nice, the best part was the pool and rooftop bar. It was chilled up there with great tunes playing all day. We had a family studio which was a good size. None of the TVs worked, but when I looked back at the description they had removed mention of TVs so I can't complain about that. We would have benefitted from being shown how to use the lights and windows/shutters in the room when we arrived as it wasn't straight forward, and we had to go back down to reception for advice. Also, we weren't given a 2nd key straight away which (being miles away from reception and one of us having to go out to get food) was a real inconvenience. When we asked for a 2nd key when we arrived the receptionist pointed at a pile of cards that hadn't been deactivated and said we'd have to wait until the next day - I normally like the relaxed informal approach to customer service but this was annoying. Sometimes the breakfast was great, other days the pastries were stale.

My husband and I were thrilled with our stay at The Student Hotel. While the crowd is definitely “young,” we saw many families with small children and older adults, so don’t let the name fool you. It’s a hip hotel that is perfectly located: you can easily walk to the major locations (15 minutes) or even take the tram to the main train station. We loved that we weren’t situated right by the touristy areas. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel room was large and comfortable! The bathroom was especially lovely and spacious. We have no complaints about our room. We loved that we could do our laundry (for free!) and enjoy the game room while we waited for our clothes to wash and dry. The hotel’s most stunning feature is its rooftop pool/bar area. The views of Florence were gorgeous, and we appreciated escaping the hot summer weather with a cool dip in the pool. As a heads up, you do need to make a reservation for both the pool and bar. Overall, we LOVED our stay here and would happily book again!

Great hotel. Huge. Many young students stay at THS. But there are older travelers and families too. The room was great, clean and spacious. It is a 12 minute walk to the train station and center of town. The have student like facilities such as laundry and work spaces. The pool is nice on a hot day but you must make a reservation a day in advance and it is a very tiny pool….with a beautiful view.
