Hotel Degli Arcimboldi

I arrived with my younger sister for an extended weekend in Milano. The staff were all very friendly and the receptionists were helpful. The location is 3 minutes from Bignami metro station. The metro to the city center takes about 30 minutes with changes, depending on where you are heading. It is about 15 minutes from Centrale FS by car, also reachable with metros. (This is where the airport shuttles arrives and departs) There is a shopping center with many fast food chains, go kart and shops a 5 minute walk from the hotel that is a local hangout place for kids and teens. We always felt safe walking to the hotel and we had no issues with the area. However if you continue down the street past the university it is dirty with trash and old clothes in the street. Wouldn’t walk there at night. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast and neither the parking so we have no comments about that. There isn’t room service, however you can order takeaway through Uber Eats, Glovo and Deliveroo delivered to the hotel. The room is modern and the bathroom is nice. The floor is carpeted. The bed was comfortable and we were given clean towels everyday. The only comment I have is about housekeeping. When we arrived I found a few short black hairs in the shower and the blanket had a yellow stain. HK had covered over the stain with a tiny decorative blanket so they definitely saw it, but still made the bed with it. I told reception and got a new one the next day.

We arrived at the hotel together with my family. When we checked in, the reception saw that we were three (me, my wife and my daughter) but despite of that, he gave us a room with 2 single bed. 😕 We hope that next time please consider also the comfort of your guest. I didn’t bother to argue because for me it’s should be automatic for them to understand those minimal necessities of their guest. On a positive side, good price and facilities.
