UNAWAY Hotel Empire Roma

Hotel is lovely and the rooms were generously sized for my large family. One of our rooms had a spa tub that was wonderful after a day walking the city. There is also a nice pizzeria across the street- try the fried pizza!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The location is good, within a short distance to many attractions. It's is in a quiet alley. The bathroom shower is tiny, for a petite person like me feeling overwhelmed showering, finding hard to turn around. Like the Room Service for breakfast which my family enjoyed doing. There is no shopping or gallery attached to the hotel, I think Expedia's description is misleading or I misread, it's just a stand alone hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here for three nights over a weekend. We were on the first floor at the front of the hotel overlooking the street below. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size with plenty of toiletries for the four of us (two adults and two teenagers). The family room was a good size and was adequately comfortable for a short stay. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was a little chaotic and there was no clean cups/glass wear for drinks. The staff were very busy though and working very hard. The remaining two mornings we went a little earlier and the experience was much more enjoyable with a good selection of options for a European breakfast. At night the street can get very noisy, but this is a busy city so it’s to be expected. I liked the Art Deco charm of the hotel and it certainly had a Roman classical feel to it but avoid booking if you want an ultra modern hotel with sound proofed windows. The staff were professional and friendly. In any event I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Genuinely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Was there with five other family members (from early twenties to seventies) and everyone loved it. Great, helpful staff. Great location and feels authentically Italian. We will return. Dated September 2022

The room where we stayed didn't have good telephone service and wireless was choppy. We didn't get our check-in till 4.30 PM which was difficult to wait with kids. The toilet was very compact and broken too.
