An okay stay. Better value elsewhere. Convenient location. We stayed in the hotel after our wedding and with friends and family scattered at other hotels in the area, we can confirm ours was most expensive and probably the worst value of those. Our check in was seamless, but the room we stayed in was not worth the money. Stayed on the 5th floor in Mid-June and the room was uncomfortably hot. They claim to have air conditioning but you aren’t allowed to run it while you’re out of the room and by the time the evening came our room was like a greenhouse. Scorching hot and the “air con” was no more than a fan blasting out warm air. It was legitimately nauseating how hot the room was. As the hotel is located on a busy square, it’s too noisy to have the windows open at night if you want any sleep whatsoever. Shower door broken so we couldn’t shower without spraying the entire bathroom. Another point, we left our room at 6:45 one day for our Vatican tour and came back about 12:00 to freshen up; our room still hadn’t been cleaned so we had to wait for the cleaner to finish.

For our one-week stay in Rome, we booked a suite for our family of four that included two bedrooms and a spacious common living area with view of the relatively quiet Piazza Barberini. The central location made it easy to tour the Colosseum, stop back at the hotel to freshen up, and then move onto the next activity. Because of its size, the hotel almost has the feel of a bed and breakfast. A special shout out goes to Pietro, the gentleman in charge of breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening. He is an absolute gem, super warm and welcoming, and his fresh baked goods are delicious. When he heard we are vegetarian, he had a freshly baked vegetarian quiche for us the next morning.

It was nice to have some extra space in the junior suite. Both day staff and night staff were excellent. Piazza hotel was on was very busy with buses, traffic, etc… there are bars and restaurants all around but noisy and crowded area. Breakfast needs improvement, not very good. And internet in bedroom does not work so the TV is useless and you cant work off your computer. Hotel itself is fine, clean and very simple.

My family just returned from a week in Rome and Palazzo Caruso was a gem of a property. Hidden on Piazza Barbarieni, the property has wonderful rooms and a beautiful terrace for breakfast. We stayed in the two-bedroom executive suite which was lavishly furnished and very spacious. With beautiful views of the piazza fountain, this property can't be beaten. If you are looking for a smaller more intimate property this is what you are looking for. My absolute highest recommendations to Luisa and the staff for going out of their way to ensure that every detail was met. They truly made our week in Rome and very special event. A
