Hotel Amalfi

Fantastic family-run hotel near Santa Maria Maggiore, clean and convenient to access Rome city center. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Grazie mille!

We chose this spot to be close the subway and train station since the big attractions are so spread out in Rome. In the end we preferred taking taxis over the crowded subway. A Taxi stand is close so it worked out fine. This is a lovely hotel with a nice rooftop with cocktail service. We had a triple room with a balcony. The hotel does have a small elevator. Plenty of good food nearby within a short walk. We chose not to take the Hotel breakfast so I can't review that. Right next door is a lovely breakfast place with amazing pastries and they even have coffee to go and fresh squeezed OJ. Don't miss the church in the square which has a Michaelangelo and even claims to have Jesus' baby blanket.

The hotel is good, staff excellent, the only thing that it was a little uncomfortable the room is very small if you going with your child there is not space in it.

I didn't stay in the historical center, and am so glad I stayed here. The hotel is a stone's throw from Maggiore, which I probably would not have seen otherwise. The staff were warm and wonderful, and like having a family to come home to each night. The hotel is also located near Rome Termini train station, which was super-convenient when I took an early morning Leonardo express train to the airport. No hassle, and cheap to get to the airport (14 euros). It felt safe enough at 5 am.

I can’t begin to tell you how much we loved our stay here! The staff was absolutely delightful and welcoming. By the end of the trip they were family.

Excellent hotel. Very family friendly and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Delicous breakfast too. Great location too. Highly recommend and we would stay again.

fresco painting on the ceiling is rather enjoyable. Room is equipped foosball which was fun for the kids to play. Staff is very friendly and helpful in booking our taxis, offering information about covid test etc. Breakfast was excellent with two busy but super nice staff members. Internet in the hotel however is extremely slow and easily disconnected.
