Hotel & Serviced Residence Gocce di Capri Sorrento Coast

Would recommend to families

The GPS had a little trouble pinpointing the hotel's location, although it did get us to the right street, just not the right end! We travelled as a family of 5 and were given a spacious 2 bedroom apartment,with a kitchen, bathroom + ensuite and a fabulous balcony complete with table, chairs and deck chairs overlooking Capri and a view to Naples. The on site pool was fabulous and we ate dinner at the restaurant both nights we were there, although you could buy groceries and do your own meals if you chose. All staff were friendly and helpful and it was like being at a resort rather than the next stop of our Italian trek. We were pleased to have stumbled on this location, which is set in a village on the hills above Sorrento, as it was a relaxing 2 night stopover after the hustle and bustle of Amalfi. It is a good base for a day trip to either the island of Capri or a visit to Pompei. We would recommend this hotel for couples and families alike.

Though fairly remote location, the view of capri and the Sorrento coast make the extra 30 minutes driving worthwhile. The grounds and rooms were well kept and clean, and the kids had great fun in the pool. The restaurant and bar were being renovated when we visited, soon to be reopened, so can't comment upon them. The small kitchen is well stocked with utensiles for self-catering. The managers were very helpful and accommodating.
