Kind of stuffy staff. No where to walk in nature unless you golf. The grounds look beautiful on the web but u won’t have much access unless golfing. The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. The woman in charge of breakfasts in the restaurant was a giant PITA wanted to see our hand written note from the front desk that it’s ok to charge breakfast to the room. I also wanted just coffee bc I’m not that into breakfast and my husb wanted the full breakfast. She didn’t seem to like that he was getting breakfast and I was having coffee. They need to get mugs for coffee. The tiny tea cups were ridiculous if you really like your am coffee. And I felt like I was being spied on (but maybe that’s me with not enough coffee)… because the cups were so small. King size bed was nice in size but hard and not comfy. The rooms lacked mini fridges which is a bummer when other cheaper hotels have them and a cold drink in the room is nice. The gym was ok. Bring your own water bottle. Pool had lots of kids in it.

The staff where fantastic. Especially the lady who checked us in and arranged a taxi for us. The hotel itself is nice enough, very lavish but a little dated. Rooms where clean & id happily stay there if needed for a night again. I was surprised that there was no water in the room and you had to get water bottles from a vending machine - a jug of water would be much more eco friendly and convenient. The pool area didn’t seem like a 4*. Because it’s used for kids lessons I’m assuming, you have to wear a hat & I wouldn’t call it a relaxing atmosphere.

Disaster, I’m not one for even doing reviews but it was an absolute disaster,. booked a stay for wife’s birthday emailed hotel to ask could I get chocolate and a bottles of wine in the room for arrival, when arrived it wasn’t done, leisure complex u couldn’t move as there was a kids swimming lesson happening steam room was broke, me and my wife was the only two in the bar about 9:30pm and a fight broke out from a private party, 2 women cut with glass, they then proceeded to shout at us, there was no security, they were allowed stay in until guards arrived, the staff left behind the bar and the people fighting started helping them selves to vodka from behind the counter, we had to go to bed before 10:30 because the people fighting continued to ask questions to us bringing us involved in the fight, I came to see the place to come back with a group for a golf weekend and unfortunately the experience was a complete disaster, my worst stay in Ireland by a long long way.. Only plus I can give was the reception staff was very nice and helpful
