It was an amazing hotel, we loved it. The staff (Wendy in particular) were very helpful and friendly. The room was enormous and well stocked with a great bathroom and products. They'd even put stuff out for the kids, such as a mini tipee, sweets and activities. The only thing the hotel could really do with are some car charging points, but this is only a minor point as there were some EV chargers relatively nearby. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

I booked a family room and the photo showed there is a camping for children inside the room. But there is nothing provided during the actual visit.

We arrived at check in to two members of staff behind the desk in conversation with eachother, and a male guest who was a few metres away at the other end of the desk. We waited a few minutes, received no acknowledgement, and had to leave to bring my toddler to the toilet. We returned and had a pleasant check in experience. Our room number on the card was crossed off, and a different one written on it, but no explanation as to why, perhaps just reusing the cards. The room was uncomfortably hot, despite us using both fans that were in the wardrobe. The windows were just panes of glass, there was no option to open them, and the heat really was excessive. We dined in the restaurant. The service was very poor, especially considering there was a young child in the party. Three members of staff looked at us and walked past us without any acknowledgement from them, whilst we stood at the door waiting to be seated. Eventually a manager greeted us and asked a colleague to assist us. Even paying involved a lengthy wait whilst four staff members conversed on how to process the transaction, in view of said manager. Breakfast was fine, but there were no trays, plates or bowls available for use at the self service area. Overall, we stayed here as it was a handy stop on a longer journey, but I would not be enticed to return. The food in the restaurant was tasty though.
