Awatara Boutique Resort Ubud

This was a last minute booking and I don’t regret booking the hotel. However I do feel the hotel pics are somewhat out of date. The hotel now looks tired and in need of a refurbishment. The bathroom although clean needs a lot of work. The room was also very noisy, with the sound of children playing and later builders working next door to the hotel. The pool area is nice but has seen better days, with lots of cracked tiles surrounding the pool and in the pool itself. There is algae around some of the tiles. The staff are lovely and even arranged a trip for us to see some of the local sites. Breakfast is very average. The hotel itself is a good 10/15 minute taxi ride into Ubud town centre. I know I’ve been quite negative in this review, I never intended to be. My wife and I had a lovely stay despite the issues mentioned above. I would recommend a stay at this hotel if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre and can put up with the tired looks of the hotel.

My family and I stayed in this resort for 5 nights and we had an absolutely amazing stay! It’s been one of the best in my personal experience. The room, it’s utilities, the aesthetics, the food and the staff service were all to the point. They were very supportive to my family member who fell sick during our stay!
