Ramayana Suites & Resort - CHSE Certified

Ramayana was recommended to me . I’ve never been to Bali and I’m primarily in the country to attend my son’s wedding in Canggu. I was very disappointed with Ramayana for these reasons: 1. Very strong incense odor throughout the hallway leading into my room. At times , it made me nauseous. 2. Very noticeable musty odor in the bathroom. No proper ventilation in there . 3. Second AC unit in room also had musty odor similar to bathroom. Had to shut that one off, I thought. There might be mold issue going on. 4. Shower stall looks it has mold. 5. I booked 2 rooms for 3 people, my husband , my son and myself. I was given 2 family rooms each with 1 king bed and 2 other full size beds. I don’t think I would book that type of room, but they said I did. No effort was made to change the accommodations. The staff are very nice and willing to help, but language is an issue. Most have very limited understanding and weren’t really able to help nor tried to find someone who could help.

Hotel was great and very accommodative. However, booking through Hotels.com experience was absolutely bad. Booked the hotel as it was showing 65 sqm and it was just 35 sqm. The services that they were marketing were actually did not exists. qhen I complained to Hotels.com, they offered me to leave the hotel with two kids and book something else at the last minute. Blaming hotel for not offering services which didn’t even exist. I ended up staying with two kids in very small room for 5 nights as the other hotels were way too expensive to make instant bookings in Bali.

Grounds are lovely and lush however we upgraded to an Lumbung room and whilst the room was beautiful it was directly above the shallow part of the pool and as such we had kids screaming continuously from 8am onwards and found that we preferred not to spend our time in the room or around the pool due to the noise.There was also a conference at the time of our stay and each night their dinner and entertainment was held around the pool so again no relief. A constant issue with mosquitoes in the room. We didn’t leave our doors open but every night we were overwhelmed with mosquitoes attaching whilst trying to sleep.Breakfast was ok but not amazing.

I appreciated that the hotel accepted the early checked in like 1pm. I love the garden & beautiful swimming pool. Only one negative things is our room was in old tower, located side by the elevator, and in front of market with a lot of noise (loud music) from the street until 11pm. The pictures from hotels.com shows new family rooms in new building. But our room was in the old tower. The picture of family room was different from the hotels.com.

Staff were really nice. Excellent place. My family loved it there. We will go back again!

We stayed in the family room which was a great size for 2 adults and 2 kids. Staff were so friendly and the pool/bar area is a really enjoyable spot to lap up the sun. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Bali
