The villa two bedroom was amazing- comfortable and luxurious. The included breakfast and tea time was very good and the service and attention of staff amazing. BUT!! there were two major downfalls- the beach in front of the hotel was not nice. Due to a manmade barrier, the majority of the day the water of the beach receded and you could not swim or even have any beach water. The second major fault was that if you have a camera, you cannot use it on hotel property or the beach front! You are allowed to use a phone video or camera, but not a physical camera. This is the only hotel in the world we could find such restrictions. In order for us to take nice family pictures, we had to walk to the public beach next door. Completely ridiculous!

FOOD POISONING WARNING. My son got seriously food poisoning after having food provided by the hotel. He started to vomit nonstop at 5am and the whole stay was ruined. Not sure if it’s food from the dinner at beach club, by the pool or the ice cream send to room. But it’s definitely the food you provided since we never left the hotel since we checked in. The fact that a high-class hotel like Kempinski fail to provide safe food is unacceptable. Will never stay at any of Kempinski hotel ever. I saw other people posting reviews about food poisoning at your place so we are definitely not the only victims. DO NOT GO INTO THE POOL. P.S: I just read some other reviews mentioned they feel sick after going into the pool so maybe it’s because of the pool water. But either way it’s unacceptable. This is a serious fault in hygiene negligence that could cause serious health issue especially in young children. If anyone ever experience the same in the future, I highly suggest you to call their nurse and collect evidence in case you want to make insurance claim or file a lawsuit against the hotel.

I can admit, things did not start well upon arrival and registration at the hotel, however after a conversation with the Duty Manager (Niati), our stay at The Apurva started to look more promising, so I am very grateful to him. The hotel is a huge resort; stunning and the lobby itself is impressive. Breakfast is amazing; so many choices! The rooms are a generous size; the furnishings are elegant, and the bed is cloud, super comfy. The bathroom facilities are also a delight; spacious oozes luxury and very clean. There are so many highlights to this hotel that other reviews will point to, but let me touch on the downsides. First off, it is best to be aware this hotel has a wave breaker which aesthetically is horrid, but it allows for safe kayaking (but I don't recall seeing a vast amount of people wanting to kayak). So that dreamy sandy beach, open water view is non existent. Secondly, the food offered at the Reef (beach) or Kubu (pool) restaurants/bars are at best average. Lastly, and this is the worst part. The beach attached to the Kempinski is public! So public, that even non-guests can make use of the cabanas, day beds, loungers, and bean bags with no priority given to hotel guests. You can easily forget you're at a luxury brand hotel. They have a smaller pool near Reef Bar, which should be an adults-only pool. The kids pool and larger resort pool are accessible to all children, so why they need to be at the Reef Bar pool, makes no sense.

Our family is having an amazing time here currently. It is so beautiful every corner that the camera cannot capture the actual beauty. Initially, we booked only 2 nights but decided to add 1 more night. They have great dining options and everything is delicious! We will be back again next year.

I don't even know where to start, this place was simply amazing. My wife and i stayed at the Conrad in bora bora last year and this place is on that level. The hotel staff is always super polite and helpful, the rooms are amazing, we had a junior suite cliff pool room. The food options were all delicious, however it won't be cheap like the rest of the place you'd go outside of hotel resorts, but worth it none the less. Pools were amazing, didn't get to use the beach club because of the G20 summit construction, but everything else was great. Had dinner in the tunnel at the koral, awesome night. We had quite a few hiccups on this trip between flight delays and rain, but we will be back and we definitely will be staying here again.

Excellent and friendly staff who go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Very impressed with the attentiveness of staff when it comes to cleaning Very comfortable and spacious rooms Great children pool and facility and pool guards friendly to children and ensuring safety Excellent restaurant selections Only minor con: We had the ocean front suite which was lovely but noise at night from the beach club can be disturbing - we didnt mind the music at all and we are lucky our child is having so much fun at the Apurva that shes sound asleep and the noise doesnt wake her!
