Vivanta Hyderabad, Begumpet

I had an amazing stay here at vivanta the staff is so caring. The hospitality is outstanding as expected at the Taj. It's also a kid friendly hotel. So you can get your little munchkins here and they will be welcomed with love.

FYI, our stay here was thru two separate back to back bookings for a total of 2 weeks. Copy pasting previous review as it is valid for the entire duration of our stay. Note that we flew in from USA. Earlier review showed it as India; not sure if this one will do the same. Previous review: Stayed here for 2 weeks on a family trip to India. Very clean, prompt service. Sujit Chatterjee from housekeeping was awesome - provided mosquito repellent for bites outside hotel, came everyday to check if we needed something. We asked if he can recommend a box to pack for shipping. He went over his normal duties to find a couple of empty boxes from the hotel and even gave us tape! Overall impeccable service from Sujit and hotel staff, front desk, travel desk. Very close to heart of city. Lots of items at breakfast buffet with live music. Most are good except for a couple of items like potato curry for Poori, Pongal - I tasted better items at other restaurants. Excellent shower, clean bathrooms. We got connecting rooms for the kids. Our room oversaw the busy road and metro but NEVER heard any honks or other sounds. Best soundproof hotel I have been in so far. Highly recommend the hotel any day!

Not children friendly. My son didn’t like to stay in the hotel. We had to vacate early.

I was traveling with my 70 year old Dad to get medical checkup done and wanted a centrally located hotel. Taj VIvanta fitted the bill perfectly. We arrived midnight from Singapore and asked for a cure rice. We got curd rice laced with hair as bonus. The bathrooms were with leaky roof, water that would not drain in the shower area and a continuous damp smell in the room. When I complained, they offered to change the room but Inwas busy with doctor appointments and could not change it the next day. They had the audacity to bill me the curd rice with hair and after me refusing to pay for it, they deleted it. I told the hotel reception manager that I just booked the room because of Taj brand name and nothing else. The duty manager said “ sir we are a business hotel and not the higher end Taj hotel”. I was shocked and told him o didn’t need luxury but basic cleanliness so that the brand name of Taj is not tarnished. For the first time I was disappointed with Taj Hotels a great brand we preferred always as a family. Please avoid.
