Vivanta New Delhi, Dwarka

Arrived at the hotel reception after performing all the funeral rituals of my dad who had passed away. Had to catch a morning international flight back to the UK. Hotel was quite far from the New Delhi Intl airport which wasn’t very clear at the time of booking. Paid over INR 750 to the cab from the domestic airport. Despite booking the room for 3 people including our 15 year old son, the staff at the reception was hell bent on overcharging another INR 1700 plus GST for an extra cot for our child which was quite upsetting. No discount was offered on the breakfast as well. Quite rude staff at the reception. Overall a very pricey and quite an upsetting stay. Will never stay again at Vivanta.

Stayed with my family. Excellent condition rooms and service. Recommend to people looking for high value for money.

Wholesome family stay!

1. I checked in at 11pm and my room was still not ready, had to wait outside the room for the staff to finish their work. (This was after my 16 hour flight from Toronto to delhi) 2. I had a three month old baby with me, the poor thing had to suffer cold temperature of 21.5 degree celsius because the thermostat was not not functioning properly, which they agreed to the next morning. 3. Lastly, the hotel is some 15 to 20 kms away from the airport, as opposed to some false information provided on their Expedia listing. 4. Food was hood and the staff was kind as well.

The property advertises as being within 2 miles of the IGI Airport, but in reality, it is on the other side of the airport, and it takes about 30-40 minutes in really bad traffic. I reserved a room for 4, and paid for the room charges. Upon checkin, they gave me a room with 1 king size bed. When I asked how I will sleep my family of 4, they said I should get a rollaway bed and charged me extra for it, despite reserving a room for 4. I also paid for breakfast buffet in advance, and upon checkin I was told that that was valid only for 2 people (While they charged me room rates for 4 people). I had to checkout early, and upon checkout I told them that I will not be eating breakfast, and asked them to refund the breakfast buffet charges I had paid in advance. They said they cannot do that. The property has seen better days, and the only reason I booked this was since the newer hotels much closer to the airpot at Aerocity were sold out, and my flight got in really late and connecting flight was the next day, so I needed a place to freshen-up after 15 hours of flying. I will not book this property again as they were misleading to begin with, and tried to nickel and dime me for services I had already paid for.

I booked 2 Twin beds for my family with city view. But room given was 1 twin bed. My wife complained and they added one folding bed later which is totally unacceptable. After long journey mybwife was so tried and dont want to follow-up by going to Sevice desk again and again. So overall very terrible experience. We have taken room pics and very soon going to share this experience on social media.
